Hello and welcome! I’m a woman living in western MA with my husband, toddler, housemate, and two cats. We recently moved into our first home!
Follow the Sun follows my adventures in traditional house-husbandry, and chronicles my adventures in expanding my thrifty homemaking skills. Areas of interest to me include cooking, canning, cheese and yogurt making, sourdough culture, gardening for food and herbs (culinary and tea varieties), blending herbal teas, childcare, and pickling. I also enjoy many types of crafting, particularly blending essential oils to scent a variety of products. I like to read a lot and plan to offer my reactions to various books I read on subjects related to home economics. And, I may occasionally offer my comments about how my tendinitis affects my ability to do traditional tasks, and where I have adopted more modern technologies to help me (like kneading bread dough in a bread machine, for example).
